Bethesda Thursdays

Tom Francis is still doggedly pursuing his illusionist playthrough of Skyrim, with disastrous results, over at PC Gamer. And speaking of disasters, it would seem that Bethesda are close to resolving the DLC issue for the PlayStation 3 version of Skyrim (yay!).

Over the weekend, Bethesda began teasing us with the possibility of new content for Skyrim, complete with an image of what was apparently a Dragon Priest’s mask. This, of course, turned out to be a work-up to the announcement of the Dragonborn DLC, which will be released on December 4th. As yet, there’s been no reveals concerning what the DLC is about, but I would imagine we’ll hear more in the near future.

Oh, and Skyrim version 1.8 was released. Yeah.

Zenimax Online are stepping up their promotion of The Elder Scrolls Online, and have announced a new bi-weekly Q&A feature. Oh, and they released a bunch of concept art, wallpapers, and avatars. And a really sweet, rather lengthy gameplay video that shows off just how similar some of the game’s systems — combat, especially — are to their offline counterparts.

Some new details about Dishonored’s development crept out last week: the game was originally supposed to be a tale of revenge featuring a ninja as the main character, and he wasn’t supposed to be a silent protagonist. This Eurogamer interview also reveals some secrets behind the game’s level development.

Chris Thursten at PC Gamer is still continuing his “No Trace” playthrough of the game, and positive reviews continue to come in for it.

Oh, and for those of you who want to cut to the chase and find out how the game ends, GameInformer has you covered.
