Big news for those of you who are also Wing Commander/Chris Roberts fans: Star Citizen has reached its Kickstarter goal of $500,000, and has also — between Kickstarter and the Roberts Space Industries website — reached its goal of $2 million in overall funding.

Of course, both the RSI and Kickstarter campaigns are still going, so if you haven’t yet chipped in your support and would like to…well, you can.

Oh, and this was too delicious not to share:

It’s not looking like Star Citizen is gonna make it. $2 million is an outrageous amount to expect from crowdfunding.
