The Feudal Lands: Domain Offline, Project Fine

Wizardry Dragon has posted an update to the The Feudal Lands website (which can still be reached by IP address, FYI), explaining what’s been happening with the site and the project lately:

Hey guys,

I just wanted to put word out for those of you still finding this site by various means that yes, I’m aware the domain for TFL has expired. This is related to the hack of WHMCS which recently happened: I’d used my own personal credit card to purchase from them before and it was exposed in the recent hack., and compromised by a fraudster. So until my CC gets fixed TFL will be domainless.

Work on TFL continues, mostly world-building at this stage. I’ve lost touch with Marzo but continue to work on it myself. If anyone knows how to get in touch with Marzo (or Marzo is reading this!) please let me know as I’d like to know if he’s still interested in the project.

I’m hoping to push another decent-sized release this summer but I don’t want to make promises and not deliver, so all I can say is stay tuned There is certainly a lot of worldbuilding happening in TFL if nothing else, however there remain some mechanical obstacles to overcome in U7 to make the project work, using Exult. For example currently the NPC table is limited in size, so I can only have about 20ish new NPCs, for as expansive an RPG as I want to do with TFL, that’s just not going to work. So hopefully the Exult team can resolve these technical limitations, I’d hate to have to fork the project to get done what needs done. This is a lot of the reason I’m hoping to get in touch with Marzo, in fact!

Anyways, work continues, expect a release with a substantial bit of worldbuilding completed in the near future, if nothing else

Cheers,

Wizardry Dragon

As always, it’s good to know that another promising project we haven’t heard from in a while is still alive and being worked on. It’s a pity what has happened with Wizardry’s hosting and personal information, and hopefully he’s able to get those issues resolved soon.
