Even More Ultima Manga!

What? You thought that the manga adaptation of Quest of the Avatar was the only abuse Ultima suffered at the hands of Japanese graphic novel artists?

Yeah, you’d be wrong.

Blu3vib3 sent me an email a couple days ago with news of another Ultima manga, The Fall of Magincia:

Feast your eyes and despair!

Here is her summary of this manga’s story and contents:

I have at long last finished the first part of Hiroyuki Watanabe’s “Fall of Magincia” – an Ultima based manga which makes Yoko Tanaka’s “Quest of the Avatar” look like a masterpiece of literary art and philosophical insight. (Once again, RACapowski has provided the awesome translation work, whilst I have handled the graphic editing)

While the manga itself is far less Ultima-related than the two comics which came before it, I should note with glee that what is currently posted does feature Lord British cutting rope with his crown mounted psychic laser.

You know, this scalnation effort that Blu3vib3 and RACapowski have been undertaking has me thinking: was it really so offensive, given stuff like this, that the Skull of Mondain was in the museum in Ultima 9?

Oh, and by the way: If you want a PDF copy of the Quest of the Avatar manga, you can find one on Blu3vib3’s eclecticify site.

It is in color! I thought that manga is b&w only!… *Checking further* Yep, only introduction is color. The rest is still black and white. May be i`ll put this in my e-ink reader someday.
