Ultima 6 Project Mods

I noticed, for the first time, a section of the Project Britannia forums pertaining to mods for the Ultima 6 Project. Most of these were developed by Sylore, although one was actually an upgrade that was first released for Lazarus; the enhanced graphics patch from 3DWorx evidently works just nicely with U6P.

All of the descriptions below are taken from Sylore’s U6 Project mods page. These are all the mods that have been added to the Ultima 6 Project project entry.

Blank Bread Crumbs

When you drop a bread crumb, the text field will be blank, rather than having the default “Bread Crumb” text in it, allowing you to type your note immediately (rather than deleting the “Bread Crumb” text first). If you leave the field blank, a default label of “Bread Crumb” will be used.

Buy Reagents in Bulk

Allows you to buy reagents from vendors in bundles of 50 or 100 (in addition to the original amounts of one or ten). Prices are based on the price of 10 pieces of a given reagent for each vendor, so you won’t save any gold, but you will save a lot of time and tedium if you’re shopping for large amounts of reagents.

Highlight Reagents

This mod highlights reagents growing in the wild with a yellow beacon of light.

New Spell Scroll Icons

Replaces the generic inventory icons for spell scrolls, with a unique scroll icon for each scroll type. This makes individual scrolls much easier to identify in your inventory.

NOTE: This mod does not change the icons of existing scrolls. To change the icons of scrolls alread in your inventory, download the “Chuckles Scroll Changer U6P ” mod.

Chuckles Scroll Changer

Allows you to exchange any existing, “old” scrolls you have in your inventory with new scrolls, having the new icons.

Spiders Drop More Silk

Increases the drop chance of spider silk.

There is at least one more mod that I need to add, and will attempt to do so either tonight or tomorrow. If you Dragons and Dragonettes are aware of additional mods outside of these, do let me know in the comments.

Please note that some of those mods will be already implemented in the 1.1 version we’re working on.

Cool! Well, when that releases, I’ll make sure to make a note on the project entry that the mods are only for v1.01.

No uber-bugfix-pack mod? Perhaps people are waiting for 1.1 to come out first.

What’s the ETA on ole’ 1.1 anyway. I’ve been waiting for that so I can do my gran U6project playthrough

That’s a cool picture. Where does one get the mod that makes the sky look like that? and can it be used for lazarus?

  5. Jaesun says:

Glad to hear some of these will be in 1.1 ALFIE!

    @Rothbard

There is no patch to have a sky in Lazarus or U6P. The picture you see is in Compendium only, not in game proper, sorry.

Very good work. Congratulations. Right now I was trying to find out the access to level 3 in Destard already having level 2 map. But differently from the world map there is not that red & white target which reveals the team’s location nor the green triangles which appear in the indoors maps. So you open the lev 2 map and it is a pain to figure out where exactly you are. A very useful new Mod could add the party’s location mark onto the indoors maps. Regards.
