The Codex of Editable Wisdom, now at Aiera

After yet another mandatory “skin change” was forced on them by Wikia, the team of hard-working editors and digital archivists at the Ultima wiki — the Codex of Editable Wisdom — elected to move their efforts away from Wikia and over to a subdomain here at Aiera.

So without further preamble, may I present to you Dragons and Dragonettes…codex.ultimaaiera.com, the new home of the Editable Codex.

Of course, it may not keep that name for long; a discussion is already underway concerning possible a possible name change for the side. Sergorn‘s suggestion, The Codex of Ultima Wisdom, certainly has a nice ring to it, and seems to be gaining traction.

So anyhow, to Fenyx4 and the team at the Codex…welcome, and we hope you enjoy the new digs. Dragons and Dragonettes, update your bookmarks accordingly.

You need a link on top bar to the Codex.

  2. Fenyx4 says:

I for one am very excited to be here!!

I will add an Ultima Wiki link shortly…just gotta figure what I need to remove or condense to fit it in.

Update: there we go, added. Moved the to-do list under the FAQ link, and freed up enough space to fit in a sufficiently descriptive link.

I’m glad to be here. Feels good to shed the old digs to a friendlier locale.

And I’m glad to have you here! It’s nice that the Ultima community is able to have a main hub of activity; I think it really strengthens us as a community.

  6. I’m glad to be here as well–Thanks WtFD for making this site the cool place to be.
    ALL HAIL HERE! 🙂

  7. wtf_dragon says:

Aw, please. You’re making me blush over here.

  8. Dungy says:

Hey Origin Museum, if you ever want to share some of your awesome material and insider knowledge on the wiki, we’d love to have you. 🙂

  9. Dungy says:

We do need a better scan of Mt. Drash and a few other things.

By the way: While I do rather like the proposed new logo for the wiki (love the name!), it seems to me that having two Avatar pictures is redundant. Can a picture of the Codex itself be found?

  11. Dungy says:

The problem is, I don’t think any of us are super-talented graphic artists (to my knowledge), and if they’re like me, they have no esthetic talents either. We need a new logo and we need a better skin. I’m not aware of any high quality image of the codex, but I’m sure I could be proven wrong. Might be something good from a Lazarus cut scene available, but there’s also the codex NPC portrait from Lazarus (http://lazarus.thehawkonline.com/portraits.html). You’re more than welcome to make a contribution, and we can decide which we like best. It is a wiki after all. 😛

I actually tinkered with the logo, re-created it, and now the others seem to like it. Take a look now, and you’ll see that it is much better than the first try.

  13. Glanestel Dragon (aka Sega381) says:

Thanks from me too, for letting us move over here! I know it’s going to be for the better!

  14. wtf_dragon says:

    Looks nice, Tribun.

And ah, okay, Glastenel = Sega381. Good to know!

  15. Warder Dragon says:

I talked to Terilem about it, and he’s going to take a stab at an improved banner once he gets off his lazy butt, seeing as how he’s the Avatar of art when he’s not being the Avatar of sloth.

Anyway, thanks to WtF for bringing us into the fold. I truly wish the move hadn’t been necessary, but I do think this is for the better in the long run!
