Ultima IV Reborn (!!) updated

Every so often, something comes along to surprise me.

Case in point: out of nowhere, some six years after its initial release, Glastenel Dragon has released an update for Ultima IV Reborn, one of the two Neverwinter Nights-based remakes of Ultima 4.

Based on player feedback, Glastenel has evidently gone and corrected a number of bugs and errors in the remake. So if you still have that old copy of NWN laying around, good reader, this one might be worth checking out.

I downloaded the last version and could never get it to work, it seems like it required some sort of NWN expansions. I just have the plain vanilla NWN – do I need some other product to run this?

Hey there – saw your question in the project entry and replied there. Basically, vanilla NWN isn’t compatible with the updates.

But on the plus side, the expansion packs are probably pretty cheap these days!

Do you have a website with maps, transcripts, hints, walkthrough etc on it?

So far the game looks like it’d be fun to try out. I have it up and running on NWN Diamond 1.69.

I know of no such website, no. It’d be a good idea, were someone to set one up, but that won’t be me; I’m pretty much at my limit managing this one. 😉
